My journey to a Tech Writer
Topped with a Master’s in Computer Applications and a love for learning and tinkering with code, meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in anything I do.
I started my career as a Software Engineer in a big coorporate company in 1998.
I build my first website with Frontpage & ASP on Geocities.
In 2007, I self-taught HTML & CSS and began working as a Front-end Developer, creating websites for agencies and remote teams, from their designs.
In 2015, while working at a startup, I set up the company’s blog using WordPress and fell in love with WordPress.
I started working with design studios as a WordPress Developer to develop custom websites for clients from their designs.
In 2020, I started looking for ways to get involved with the WordPress community.
I began contributing to the WordPress documentation, core, and marketing teams and discovered my love for documentation and technical writing.
In 2021, I began a new role as a WordPress Docs Contributor and WordPress technical content writer.
In 2022, I took up the role of the WP Block Editor end-user doc rep and Release co-lead.
Since then I actively worked on every WordPress release co-leading the Documentation team, from 5.8 to 6.4. And have also been one of the Noteworthy Contributors to the 6.4, 6.3, 6.2, 6.1, 6.0, and 5.8 releases.
From Tech Writer to Technologist
After a year-long career break to explore my creative calling, I’ve stepped into a new part-time role as a Technologist while continuing to nurture my creative endeavor.
I specialize in working with female business owners, leveraging decades of technical expertise to solve tech-related challenges and streamline their operations -from designing and setting up tools to automating workflows.
My proficiency spans platforms like Squarespace, Circle, Zapier, Flodesk, and integrating these tools to create seamless, efficient systems that empower entrepreneurs to focus on growing their businesses.

Indian roots & Creative vibes
- I was born and raised in the southern state of India (Kerala), and now live in San Jose, CA with my family and furbaby.
- I have a Bachelor’s in Physics and a Master’s in Computer Applications from Bangalore, India.
- I’m a classically trained singer who performs for various Indian music events in Bay Area.
- I also enjoy hand-lettering, sketching, reading, photography, and travel, and am always looking for poetry in the ordinary.
- Blindness affected my family in more ways than one and I love to give back to The Himalayan Cataract Project, a nonprofit working to eradicate blindness in the developing world.
